Audi Service Bellevue

Audi Service Bellevue

There are plenty of options for Audi owners in need of service in the Bellevue area. Since they are very popular cars in the Pacific Northwest, many auto service shops have added the brand to their list of cars they advertise on websites and in print. There are very few shops, however, that specialize in Audi service. The Bellevue dealership is one of those specialists, and when the vehicle is still within the manufacturers warranty, it is often the best choice for repair. That is not always the case for ongoing maintenance, such as oil changes, brake replacement, and other ongoing service, which is not covered by the warranty. In those cases, the best choice is often an independent service provider who specializes in Audi service and repair. Many general automotive service shops have experience working with a variety of cars, but it is important to find a facility where the technicians have been through training specific to Audi. In addition to training, those technicians should also have extensive experience working on the cars.

Motoring Unlimited is one such shop and represents the best choice for people in Bellevue who are in need of Audi service. Information about the outstanding technical staff can be found here.

Located just off I-90 in Issaquah, Motoring Unlimited is convenient to people who work or live in Bellevue. Call 425.391.5942 or drop in and visit at 6010 221 St Pl SE, Issaquah, WA 98027.

Oregon Raceway Park

The first time you roll into Grass Valley, OR on your way to Oregon Raceway Park, you might be reminded of Thunderhill and what Willows must have been like before that track was built. Grass Valley is a small town in the middle of farm and electric windmill country with some great people who are all very happy to have this very cool new racetrack in their area. And those of us that are into auto racing and high performance driving are sure happy they helped make this fun racetrack possible.

Oregon Raceway Park, or ORP as it has become known, is situated a couple miles out of town in the middle of farmland. There are not any large hills, but don’t think for a second this is a flat boring track. It’s quite the opposite. ORP boasts one of the largest numbers in overall elevation change for a road coarse.  There are 16 turns in this 2.3-mile racetrack, and many of them are blind due to the hilly terrain. Many times a driver will be accelerating and entering a turn with no real idea what awaits on the other side. But don’t let that concern you. Oregon Raceway Park is a very forgiving racetrack should you put a wheel in the wrong place and end up off the paved surface.

The track is fun and fast. It’s a perfect 40 feet wide all the way around and has curbing exactly where it is needed. Since it is a very young track, as of the writing of this post, the pavement is very smooth. Turns nine and ten, also known as “half-pipe,” are a blast. Just toss the car in to the quick right and then left and rocket out. The grip is amazing. There is a lot of g-force in that section, which can put unexpected wear on parts, such as wheel bearings. It is very important to have the proper racetrack preparation to make certain the car makes it through your day at ORP. While it’s a great venue for driving and the people of the town are wonderful, there are no race shops anywhere close.

One of the pleasant surprises of spending a day or two at Oregon Raceway Park in Grass Valley is the view. Standing in the paddock on a clear day there are amazing views of mountains in the distance to the north, west and south. And that’s not all that can be found in the paddock. On most days, the fine folks from the Grass Valley Country Market and Deli are on hand with their traveling lunch trailer to take care of the needs of folks that are hungry or thirsty.  And even if they are not at the track, it’s just a quick drive into town to visit the main store. Not too quick, though. There’s a school zone between the track and the town.

Talk to anyone that has driven ORP and they will tell you it’s worth the drive to experience one of the newest additions to the high performance driving and racing venues of the Pacific Northwest.

But before you head down, make sure your Porsche or Audi is in the best shape for the trip down, back, and great fun between. Bring it in to Motoring Unlimited for an track day inspection or any performance upgrades you've been dreaming to get. You will find us here.

Pursuit of Excellence

One of the most formative experiences in my career was having the privilege to start early in a Porsche repair facility that also serviced Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and Audi. I was allowed time around each marque and the premier auto technicians that serviced each one. It was here that I witnessed the most remarkable passion that Porsche technicians took to their trade.

I still recall the time when I mounted and balanced my first set of Porsche wheels and tires for one of the senior technicians. I was allowed to install them back on the vehicle, and when I was done I simply walked away and continued my other tasks. I was immediately recalled by the technician! Whatever could I have done wrong on such a menial and simple task I wondered to myself? “Look at the center caps,” the technician said. I did, but could notice nothing amiss. Seeing my confusion, he informed me that whenever I did wheel or tire work on a Porsche, the bottom of the Porsche crest that was embossed on the center cap should always point directly at the valve stem on each wheel. I remember thinking to myself, what an uptight individual. But time would only show me that every one of the Porsche technicians wanted the exact same result. I remember wondering to myself if they were that particular about wheel center caps, how detail oriented were they on the more technical repair aspects?

This experience stuck with me for a very long time, and it’s something that I’ve taken with me to Motoring Unlimited and endeavored to instill in everyone who works with me. Porsche technicians pursue their work with so much passion and sense of ownership, it is hard not to be attracted to that purpose and sense of pride in the way everything is approached. Motoring Unlimited was started with the goal of providing that sense of service to Porsche and Audi automobiles. We promise to always strive to provide the best service and experience we possibly can to your vehicle. That pursuit of excellence is our service guarantee to all of our customers.

Be Proactive

Talk to almost any auto technician, and they will tell you the key to keeping vehicles running well, today and down the road, is routine and scheduled maintenance. Yet many drivers tend to stall when it comes to keeping up with some everyday auto basics. Recent automotive surveys have found:

• 38 percent of cars had low or dirty engine oil.

• 54 percent had low tire pressure.

• 28 percent had inadequate cooling protection.

• 19 percent needed new engine belts.

• 16 percent had dirty air filters.

• 10 percent had low or contaminated brake fluid.

Most of the checks and services described here can be done at little cost, especially when considering the long-term cost of major mechanical failures. Motoring Unlimited provides premier service for Porsche and Audi vehicles. Stop by anytime and have one of our technicians check your tire pressures and fluid levels.
